About PurplePipe


PurplePipe is a not-for-profit, apolitical, community based organisation.  Our role is to raise awareness and promote the benefits of Class  A and fit-for-purpose recycled water.


PurplePipe seeks to expand the use of Class A recycled water and to improve our Members’ experience by listening to their views and representing these directly to key industry stakeholders.  


PurplePipe aims to be the leading source of trusted information on Recycled Water, leveraging our experience, passion and  commitment  to the benefit of Victorian’s.


There are many ways we promote Recycled water use:


eNews

Periodic eNews (The Tap) with promotional stories of interest and new developments in recycled water.


Community engagement

Information evenings, surveys, presentations and special events to raise awareness and promote the benefits and value of recycled water.


Opportunities

Through building strong relationships with key stakeholder groups and leveraging networks to develop community Recycled Water Programs that promote take-up whilst improving customer satisfaction of Members and recycled water users.


Communications

Our public website is a central source of national information, profiles, news & events.


PurplePipe is a not-for-profit community resource brand. We listen and represent opportunities and issues to Water Authorities, Developers, Private Business and Government as PurplePipe is keen to create a more sustainable value proposition for recycled water users.


Your personal information


Personal information held by us may include your name, address, telephone or mobile phone number, email address, username or password (proposed website log-in).


If you choose not to provide certain personal information (e.g. your address), we may not be able to provide you with the Member services you require, or the level of service on which we pride ourselves.

  1. directly from you, for example, when you join as a member, provide information by phone, face to face, or when you submit your personal details through our website (eg. Financial or Supporter Member webform);

  2. from surveys and or petitions that we undertake from time to time in support of recycled water community causes and areas of interest;

Your personal information may be used to:

  2. assist you to subscribe to our membership services such as eNews or Newsletters;

  3. provide the member services you require;

  4. administer and manage those member services, including subscriptions and member events, functions or forums;

  5. inform you of ways the member services provided to you could be improved;

  6. research and develop our member services;

  7. gain an understanding of your recycled water issues, concerns and values in order for us to provide you with a better member service

PurplePipe does not sell or lease personally-identifying information to any other company, person or agency. "Personally-identifying information" means your name , address , email address, telephone number or other information by which you can be personally identified. PurplePipe does not disclose personally-identifying information to other companies or persons for commercial purposes.


In the event that we contract with or leverage from a third party to provide some part of the information or membership service that you have requested (e.g MailChimp for email and subscriber management), PurplePipe may provide your information to such third party, or such third party may collect information from you on our behalf. By written agreement, these third parties are required to implement similar security measures and to process your information only as authorized by PurplePipe to fulfill the service(s) that they have been contracted to provide.
