The Hunt Club

The Hunt Club is located in Cranbourne East, 45 minutes south east of the Melbourne CBD, in one of the fastest growing areas in Victoria.

In October 2006, The Hunt Club residents became the first homeowners in Victoria to have Class A recycled water available for non-drinking purposes such as toilet flushing and garden watering. When The Hunt Club is completed more than 1200 homes will have access to recycled water. This equates to 100 Olympic-sized swimming pools of precious drinking water being saved each year.

When The Hunt Club is completed, approximately 15 hectares of open spaces and wetlands will be irrigated by recycled water keeping them green all year round.  Other environmental initiatives include an extensive revegetation program of a Melaleuca forest to protect this valuable plant species for future generations.

The Hunt Club won the inaugural Housing Industry Association (HIA) National GreenSmart Award for Estate of the Year in 2006.  That same year, the estate was a finalist in the National Urban Design Environmental Excellence Awards (UDIA).

The Hunt Club is one of only five Victorian developments that have received HIA GreenSmart accreditation – an HIA environmental initiative recognising developments that have achieved minimal environmental impact, maximum energy efficiency and superior urban design (two of the other four estates are project managed by the Dennis Family Corporation – Rose Grange in Tarneit and Manor Lakes in Wyndham Vale).
